Sheltering and mission
Again, without disagreeing with the point of this article, a question: how do we bring up children to the stage that they will be able to fulfil Christ's command to go out and preach the Gospel to all nations? Starting with being missional in our own?

If I have a critique of the courtship and homeschooling movement(s) it is that they have got so concerned with building a defensive shield around them that the matter of how we mission to the surrounding culture has been forgotten.

Families reaching families? A potentially tough call when there are so many singles in the culture, and especially women in the paid workforce (how do stay-at-home mums reach out to them?) Or put another way, how do we disciple young people who come to faith, often against the bitter objections of their parents?

I don't see much in the homeschooling and courtship movements about how to mission to our culture. The older evangelistic patterns won't work anymore. What will?
