God wants us to experience "how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity." We often properly apply this to the church or to nuclear families, but here Jonathan Lindvall contends Psalm 133 calls us to apply it to the extended family. Foundational unity in nuclear families is intended, by God, to mitigate against the curse of "scattered" families. While there are certainly God-ordained exceptions, God's design is for families to develop closeness within and between the generations.
